This person does NOT represent Unification Theology Feb 21, 2008 The author of this book does NOT represent orthodox Unificationism.
I have been a member of the Unification Church for 30 years now, and have encountered Jon Quinn in the past. He is taking his own, very unique, perspective on Divine Principle and Unification Thought, and promoting it as if it is an orthodox interpretation of our religion.
I assure you that Mr. Quinn's point of view is not at all representative of the vast majority of anyone that is a member of our church. Even the title of this book itself is ridiculous. There is NOT and never has been any requirement for any member of our church to have 12 children by the age of 40 years old.
Mr. Quinn is sincere in what he believes, and if he wrote his material with the disclaimer that this is *his own point of view*, I would not have a problem with him publishing these books.
However, I am very offended for him to claim that his books are an accurate representation of Unification Theology. I don't know a single person in our church who agrees with practically any of his rather extremist points of view.
