Good lighthearted gift Jan 08, 2008
By HangFireBabe Nice, informative, fun. Good gift for someone who needs to get focused and organized, with a provocative concept to fuel the fire. The only thing I could see to make it better as an actual "planner" would be if it were to have a more durable cover, considering it is a 5-year workbook style planner that would become pretty worn by anyone conscientious enough to really use it on a daily basis.

Fun and Informative Nov 22, 2008

"The Clarifier"
This little book is a gem! I wasn't even aware of the significance of the date December 21, 2010 until a couple of months ago. "12-21-12" is jam-packed with information about what is known about the Mayan calendar and its end on that date. Plus there are references to many cultural, philosophical and other sources that tie in with the same date. And lots of interesting graphics. Quite amazing.
Whether or not you believe that the world ("as we know it" the author says, purposfully leaving open the possibility of a transition to whole different level of consciousness/existence) may end on that date, the book offers you, the reader, the opportunity to take a look at what you would like to do/accomplish in the next four years, with calendars and thought provoking "Goal Sheets" for listing things like "places to visit," "habits to lose," "fears to conquer" and many more.
Buy several - it will make great gifts.
