"Outstanding Adventure"! Jun 08, 2009
By Georgia Akin I wasn't sure at first, if I would be interested in the book, due to it's masculine cover. However, I am glad I purchased the book because it's the best adventure story I have ever read! It is definetly appropiate for both men and women. I am now reading the second book in the series, and it just keeps getting better!

Great Escape from the Suburbs Jan 04, 2011
By J. Steve Miller A great read! Although McGinnis wrote it for young people (I'm encouraging my 16-year-old twins to read it) I'm in my 50's and absolutely loved it! This type of story really resonates with me: the young guy who senses frustration, lack of purpose. There must be more to life. So he breaks loose from the status quo and finds adventures, mysteries, etc. on his way to finding himself and his special place in the universe. Living in the suburbs, I love to escape into the wilderness, explore caves, experience adventures. This book gave me the opportunity to experience all that while running on my treadmill. Looking forward to reading more in the series.

A Great Escape! Oct 08, 2010
By Evelyn Uslar Pietri
"Heart for Adventure"
I read this book during a very difficult time in my life...and it really helped me forget my troubles! I was transported to an exciting world, where the young protagonist undergoes a journey of spiritual exploration and discovery. The tale brings to life American Indian culture in a thoroughly insightful and engaging manner. I look forward to reading the rest of the series!
