This book is a delight. Mary Marsalka shows us how she coped with a tragic loss and went on to build a successful, very unique tea room. Her quirky sense of humour shines through the pages. She includes the history of her 150 year old building as well as recipes from the tea room. I was inspired to visit Biddie's Tea Room and found it to be exactly as described; good food, warm and friendly service and delightful surroundings.

I used to work here as the chef in the early 90's....and Mary speaks exactly how she writes - it's amazing! It was a wonderful experience; nothing like it in my life has had more positive impact. I am so sorry to hear of the death of both of their grown children. A fun read and it just made me smile!
