Kahn "Eagles" A Game Fore Life Jun 13, 2009
By BWslice The golf theme of A Game Fore Life is what got my attention but what was unexpected was the clever story of overcoming adversity and life's second chances. Loved the use of golf anecdotes as lead ins. A real page turner but careful not to turn too fast or you may miss something.
Doesn't Get Any Better Sep 05, 2009
By L. Charles Wimer III If you looking for a book that is full of character detail, a well defined plot and a real page turner -- then you should buy a copy of A Game Fore Life. This novel is not really about golf (as the front cover may indicate), it is more about a wealthy retired lawyer who unexpectedly becomes a mentor to a young man who was involved in his robbery/mugging. There are plenty of twist and turns to keep the reader wondering what will happen next. A Game Fore Life is 280 pages that could have easily gone on for another 280 pages -- in fact I wish it would have. I sincerely hope Mr. Kahn will do a sequel because it would be nice to know what happens to one of the main characters. 5 Stars simply doesn't do this book justice.
