A Jackass on the Rebound: A Jake Timberlake Adventure

With just a cold beer in his hand and a goofy grin on his face, recently-dumped Jake Timberlake is a lovable loser trying to move on with his life one misadventure at a time. It doesn't matter where he goes or what he does, Jake never fails to cause trouble. Jake's adventures take him all over the country in search of cheap beer, big fun and loose women. He winds up sleeping in his truck in Panama City, Florida on a one-man Spring Break. He finds himself drenched in urine and wandering the streets of Savannah, Georgia on St. Patrick's Day. The hits just keep on coming but Jake takes it all in stride; that's exactly the way he likes it. Along the way, Jake learns his most important lesson: Just because everyone else is in a hurry to settle down doesn't mean he has to be-- he's having way too much fun.

5Who DOESN'T enjoy reading about crazy adventures?  Nov 19, 2007
This is one of those books that makes me wish I lived my life differently. Maybe not quite as crazy as Jake, but just crazy enough to have some stories that would compare even slightly with his adventures. Everyone has friends that are like Jake, and everyone (that I know) has thought about doing the things that he has done, so why not read the book and try to convince yourself to do them? Even if you don't ever want to act crazy, this is a highly entertaining book with stories that aren't so stupid that they're unbelievable (TUCKER MAX). I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys good storytelling and laughing.

5You will love Jake almost as much as he loves himself  Nov 12, 2007
Jake's adventures, while not generally advisable, are always entertaining. Sometimes you'll laugh with Jake, sometimes you'll laugh at him, and sometimes you'll just cringe. Even if you don't approve of his party lifestyle or you can't see any logical person getting themselves into the situations he experiences, the search for happiness is a universal theme that relates to us all. Most of our searches don't involve as much sleeping in cars and definitely don't involve having a cigarette put out on our neck, but Jake follows his own path. If nothing else, this book will give you something to read while you're on the toilet.
