"Lesa"
Aldo is a regular kid, a teen who loves family and cutting up.
One day they are in a horrific accident, and Aldo is thrown from the car, and loses heartbeat. The whole time he is on life support, his mother and father have a faith shakedown.
God asks them "will they give Him thier whole life," and then later "will they give Him, Aldo.
Aldo is taken off life support and it is touch and go for a while. God sends a Prophetess and she banishes the Spirit of Death over Aldo.
From that point on Aldo starts recovering.
They have a long hard road, but they see a light at the end of the tunnel.
Aldo, against all odds begins tospeak and walk again.
He still has alot of issues, but he is unwavering in his faith.

A book to change lives - and that is what God wants Oct 25, 2009
By Donald J. Parker
"Donald James Parker - author of Reforming the Potter's Clay"
I have read several books in the recent past that are all shining a spotlight in the same place. That beacon is aimed heavenward toward the son of God. The Holy Spirit is moving in a powerful way across the earth to call the children of God to where they need to be - under the shadow of the Almighty. This is not a book of clever witticisms and profound human wisdom. This is a book of simple truths. There are words directly from the mouth of God here. One example that struck me directly in the solar plexus as a wannabe intellectual studier of the word and of life is "Stop all your clever arguments, your logical disputes. Faith starts where logic ends. And then miracles follow.
I am trying to let my spirit man dominate my soul man, who wants to be like Mr. Spock and subsist on logic alone. This book has helped me in that struggle. Retha came to a point in her life where logic was insufficient. I pray that I can vicariously learn the lessons she has absorbed from living through a traumatic experience that had brought much pain into her life. My prayer is that I will surrender everything to the King of Kings so that He might use me as Retha and Aldo have been used - to show people that intimacy with God is not only possible but necessary for true fulfillment. This is a book that will stretch many believers. I needed to let God out of the box I put Him in and be stretched. I urge you to let Him expand your tentpegs. As Aldo writes several times, Jesus is coming soon. The bride must be ready. And I don't want to be one of the five foolish virgins who neglected to prepare themselves in advance. I can't summon up the words sufficient to match the urgency that I feel in recommending that you read this book - but more importantly that you lay aside your pride and give it all to Jesus. I challenge you to read this book as a child and not as a sophisticated adult puffed up with pride over your prowess in deciphering the secrets of life. I have written many novels that I hoped would turn people to the Lord and cause them to walk upright before Him. I see now that my books pale in comparison with this true story of the power of the living God.

a life surrended to God Aug 18, 2008
By N. Shrewsbury This book is an excellent example of the process of one surrendering their life to God.
The author supposed she was a Christian, but through a tragedy, realized that she did not really know the Lord. The book takes you through that realization and finally, to her dedication.
A really good read; I was sad that there wasn't more. I bought six copies to give to family and friends, and they liked it, too.

Great book, still waiting for something else Jun 29, 2011
By unbiased opinions inc. It's a great book. Well written minus a few typos. And the message is awesome. The pictures really help tell the story for those more visually oriented. My only complaint, though, was that in an interview Mrs. MacPherson said that her son said Jesus blew on their book so that all who came into contact with the book would become connected with Jesus, or something along those lines. I'm still waiting for that aspect? Then again, I should probably just go to a church already, and have some elders touch me and pray for me, since that's usually how it's done. Regardless, a good read, especially for a Christian looking to revitalize their faith.
