A New Hat For Mommy Dec 10, 2005
By Serafino When I read this book I thought it was a very brave subject to write about. I shared it with my children who thought it was a really great way to talk about their feelings. Thankfully no one has cancer in our family - but I lost a friend when I was younger to cancer. I think that this book has a very clever way of making children open up and talk. Anyone who buys this book will not be disappointed. The pictures are wonderfully done and very colorful, really grabbing your attention. I found my own children still asked questions ( which the book encourages) days after we had read it. The questions are a really great idea and I found out about my childrens thoughts and how they felt about cancer. I am glad I shared this book with them, and also gald I had the chance to read it.

This book was purchased for a hospital Cancer Resource Center and we have found it to be very helpful for families who have a member with cancer. It explains cancer in a way that can help give support to children with many concerns. It is probably one of the best books with this topic that we have in our resources.

Wonderful book on a difficult subject Oct 17, 2007
By Matt S. This is a wonderful book dealing with what is without doubt an extremely difficult subject. The whole package is very appealing to kids with the language and illustrations produced in a style they can easily relate to. Hannah's experience with helping the children in her own care is well deployed when she crafted this valuable book. A very helpful tool to find out what your children are really feeling during a terrible time for them.

Loved ones died of cancer Jul 10, 2006
By Mr. L. Not suprising to me I cried when I read the book. I know how difficult it is as an adult to deal with cancer and can not imagine how it must be for a child. I believe Hannah does her part to do what she can to help those children scared and confused by the worst disease of our lifetime. Thank you Hannah.

Geat Help Jan 25, 2006
By Bradley What a great way to find out how your kids are feeling. Really, this is done in a way- they don't even realize. My kids never talk about cancer. I found out how it scared them most. What they would wish for. I am so glad I found this book. Anyone going through cancer right now- should definately read this to their kids. Or even give it to their school. A lot of people go through this and it's not really thought about- that we should explain more to our children. Also great pictures- kids loved looking at them.
