We need more books like this one Feb 23, 2009
By Margaret M. Hanson Colleen Frye does a wonderful job describing her friend Sister Claire, and the antics she was so well known for. While I never had the pleasure of meeting her, through Ms. Frye's stories, one comes away feeling as if they have known the Sister for years. Stories both heartwarming and tender yet comical
This is a wonderful book to be read over and over again to children. The message of who a true hero is comes through on every page. The realistic subjects of life and death are handled tenderly.
The illustrations are a beautiful addition to a wonderful story. It was a pleasure.

Perfect for young adults and the young-at-heart in general! Dec 17, 2008
By Herman Melville A Nun of That! is a warm, funny homage to a nun who really knew how to live, and how to love. This delightful book, like its main character (and like its author), has a terrific sense of humor and just keeps on giving. Author Colleen Frye knew her subject well and rendered her heroine as a real character--in every sense of the word.... We readers are all, thanks to Ms. Frye, the better for having known Sister Claire.

By Clara H. Barrett A sweet lovely reflection of a truly special person who left a great legacy and many souls who love her
Wish I'd known her Dec 01, 2009
By Snow White Heartwarming, moving story of a very special person. Perfect way to explain "God's mysterious ways" to children. The beautiful pastel illustrations reflect the essence of the narrative.
Makes one think . . . Oct 01, 2009
By Novelist This lovely story about a real-life nun and the kind of work she does at hospitals with the young and old provides an interesting way to introduce the concept of God and prayer to a child. With all the proceeds of the book being donated to Boston area hospitals, a nunnery, and a school, I think the author should be commended for putting her money where her mouth is. A true inspiration.
