A Passage Through Seven Lives Sep 01, 2008 This is a very readable, well written account of the Pacific War by a man who grew up in Japan and was trained as a Kamikazee pilot by the time he was 15. I learned a lot.
A Passage Through SEVEN LIVES Aug 15, 2008 Only rarely does a new book about World War II emerge with such broad-based impact. A Passage Through SEVEN LIVES is a richly-illustrated history of early Japan; a studied lesson on Japan's entry into the Western world's sophisticated politics, marketing expertise, and military forces; a well-researched document of the horrors of the Pacific War; and a warming, personalized look at the life of ordinary Japanese people--at home and in America--as they suffered through tribulations they neither wanted nor understood. Thus, A Passage Through SEVEN LIVES will excite historians, scholars and WW II buffs alike.
