A Road To Somewhere Feb 20, 2009
By Scott Benson From a childhood and youth in small town Ottawa, Illinois, the author has crafted an evocative tale of growing up in mid-America of the 1940's and 50's. From a life that began in a compact world with few risks, the book's main character, Robb Langmann, becomes a globe trotting representative of an American chemical company, with business contacts in south America and the far east, including communist China just after it began seeking American technical help. And when the CIA asks Langmann to report back to them after these trips, his life becomes filled with fear and paranoia, which lead him, again, down A Road To Somewhere.
