Every Man's Fantasy May 04, 2009
By S. S. Wilkins Most middle aged men find themselves at some point fantasizing about abandoning the rat race and sailing away to the Caribbean. T.E. Baker's main character, Ben Slade, is just such a man. It's easy to see one's self as Ben Slade as he cruises west across the southern Caribbean encountering a variety of threats and opportunities. The surprise ending holds you to the very last page. Baker's research and attention to detail make this book especially appealing to sailing enthusiests. This book is a very enjoyable read!
How lucky can an old guy be? Jul 17, 2010
By Silver Surfer Sea Story is a must read that answers that question, among others, including:
How do you single-hand a 47' catamaran?
Knowing that, how many hot Colombian chicks does it take to crew one?
How should Viagra be properly stored on extended sea voyages?
How much should one bring along?
How many ways can you cook fish on a boat?
How hard is it to find sunken treasure?
(not very if the hot Colombian chicks are also cryptographers)
How many evil drug lords does it take to keep a good man down? (lots)
And most importantly, what are the customs procedures in Caribbean ports?
A fun, engaging and enlightening read Aug 17, 2009
By J. Lavelle T.E. Baker's Ben Slade clearly leads a most interesting life as he sails about the Caribbean. Ben describes both the joy and very real difficulties of sailing and diving in Caribbean waters. Have your Caribbean map handy as Ben takes you to South American and Caribbean Islands and ports. "A Sea Story" is an engaging read, a "can't wait to find out where Ben Slade will take us next" story.

By Carl A. Koontz I think Mr. Baker does a great job of giving the reader factual details of sailing in the Caribbean, while blending them into an interesting and exciting story.
Great Characters May 25, 2009
By Avid Reader This was thoroughly enjoyable. Senior citizens need their heroes too. The author has a nice compact style, not prone to detailed descriptions. Plot, action, romance with a great set of characters.
