Hot chocolate and Kleenex required Feb 04, 2007
By wildcats96 From the moment you begin reading you empathize with Sierra...she's just been through a train-wreck of a year and is now trying to gather up the pieces and move on. Sierra's publicist has convinced her to take a month-long vacation in Vail, Colorado in the middle of December. While she's bound and determined to overcome her writer's block she isn't quite as convinced that she may overcome her inhibitions of falling in love again. So when she meets Asha, Sierra isn't prepared to be swept off her feet but can't help but let her frozen heart melt. As their love begins to develop, past demons emerge in an attempt to derail them.
D.C. Elmore creates this winter wonderland of love and passion and draws you in from the first word until the last! I greatly enjoyed this love story and I think you will too!

This book will melt the coldest of hearts! Mar 06, 2007
By C. Mahoney The story of Sierra and Asha is a very endearing and romantic one. I believe that everyone has a soul mate and this book plays on that belief very nicely. The question that arises for these two women is will they let past hurts keep them apart? I loved all of the characters in this book. They are people you would like to know and well in Vivian's case maybe not so much! DC writes a story that flows well from cover to cover and is enjoyable throughout. I read A Season of Change in one afternoon, I couldn't put it down. This book will stay in my collection to read again and again! A must have for any romantic!

"Truth About Caffeine.com"
Grab the box of Kleenex before you begin this tearjerker about a woman seeking to conquer her writer's block and allow another woman to conquer her heart.

Do you like snow? Oct 03, 2007

"book nut"
This book is set in Vail Colorado during the holidays. Lots of snow. This was a good book. Kind of predictable plot but how many ways can you tell a love story? Especially when you read as much I do?
Anyway to conquer her past and her own anxiety attacks an author must trust that the beautiful woman who shows interest in her will be more than the sum of all of that plagues her.
This book could have a sequel if it was done nicely.

Not bad not good Feb 14, 2010
By Robin No one else mentioned their books typeface in their reviews but mine was in fairly large typewriter font. WTF! It was very distracting and 'felt' like I was reading an on-line story I printed out and bound myself.
The story was a bit lame especially when Sierra, who is writer from Florida, never ridden on a snow mobile, etc. takes a leadership role commanding the rescue team to get out there to look for her heartthrob and other missing skiers.
There's nothing really wrong with this book, it's all just so predictable and actually not very interesting although I did finish it in a week or so. Girl with broken heart - her ex cheated on her with her best friend while she was at her mother's funeral (honest, I'm not lying!) - goes to Vail and the first woman she meets she's attracted to. They have a bit of overcoming to do but do get together soon enough. Blah, blah, boring, boring, bad typeface, not much depth, won't read anything by D C Elmore again.
**Remember - if you want your favorite authors to keep writing they have to be able to earn a living doing it so if at all possible buy the book NEW. If you're not going to keep it in your collection put it in the recycle bin to make another book.**
