An adventurous young Randle has survived the 9.6 Alaska earth-quake of 1964, a bear attach and almost drowning in the Frasier River while being shot at by Canadian Mounties and a dysfunctional family, but there are scarier things in Alaska than bears and violence; a part of Alaska you won't find in a travel brochure or see form a cruise ship. In his own words and with lots of gallows humor Randle shares his decent and ultimately the miracle of recovery.
