A Spoonful of Humor

Henry L. Lefevre loves to make humorous comments about his many shortcomings. The world willingly gives him that freedom -- usually. When he makes fun of others, however, he often gets into trouble. Therefore, he tries to behave -- usually.

5Spoonful of Humor  Mar 02, 2008
By H. Bell
A Spoonful of Humor is a collection of 32 brief, light-hearted essays on subjects that range from HMO's to Football to avoiding a Lightning strike.

Some of the humor is geared more for those for whom The Beetles aren't ancient history, but even those of us on the other side of the generation gap can appreciate the timeless humanity of Dumb Ants and Old Blue. Or the love--and painfully accurate understanding--of nature displayed in Hookless Fishing or Squirrel Watching. And there are some essays, like Latchkey Kids, that demonstrate a perspective that you simply have to have been around for a while to acquire.

All in all, A Spoonful of Humor is a great choice to pick up for those moments when you need just a few minutes of laughter to brighten your outlook on life.

5Calorie-free but loaded with laughter!  May 01, 2007
By Cynthia Borris "author NO MORE BOBS"
Just when you need a break, along comes a terrific little yellow book.

If just a spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down, think what A SPOONFUL OF HUMOR can do? Page-by-page, A SPOONFUL OF HUMOR makes your day brighter. Even brighter than the sunshine-yellow cover.

Calorie-free but loaded with laughter, Henry L. Lefevre, transports the reader to a gentler time, a softer side of life, one chuckle at a time.

Before you visit your local nursery for plants, read and memorize "Inanimate Pets". Beyond the garden variety description of full-sun or shade, plants require care equal to an eighteen-year commitment of parenthood. Is plant-hood for you? Only humorist Lefevre can capture the quirks of plant parenthood and answer your question with expert advice. Or if you ever wish to win the lottery, take note of Lefevre's advice in "Freebies". Short on cash? Then learn the sport of "Hookless Fishing". An awesome idea Henry-style.

With a twist of tongue and a play on words, Lefevre captures black and white moments and paints them with a color all his own, to produce a contemporary work with "Laughs and Giggles" that transverse all generations.

Simply put - A SPOONFUL OF HUMOR is a must-read for all who want to celebrate the day with a laugh. Why not give it a go? It's much better than medicine and taste like "HMO Chicken".
