2SHOULD HAVE HAD SNAP BUT ONLY HAD FIZZ!  Jul 25, 2004
This was my first on-line book and, maybe, they are suppose to be quick reads but it was a bit to quick and I couldn't connect with the characters.

This was suppose to be a story of a tough female police officer - Jamie - who is set up as a dirty cop and the newspaper man - Dan - who tries to help her clear her name.

Though some of the sex scenes were good and the foundation of the story initially had my interest, Jamie constant crying kept making me want to skip sections. Then in the same breath as she's crying, she's saying she can take care of herself because she's a cop. The two just didn't fit. If I were Dan, once my initial curiosity was satisfied (and I don't mean sex) and I discovered her true whinny personality, I'd have left a long time ago!

4Nice quick , hot read.  Apr 11, 2003
The mystery section of this book was okay, but what I really liked was the interracial section and the love scenes. They were really engrossing and kept me turning the pages. I wished it was longer with more love scenes.

I liked how the hero and heroine went from not trusting each other, but wanting each other to relying on each other and finally to falling in love.

Although extremely erotic, this is still a "sweet" love story.

2The Erotic Scenes..  Nov 15, 2002
.. Were what kept me reading. Those were really explosive and well written, with a careful balance of setting, romance and raw passion. BUT, the story line dragged, the heroine contradicted herself by saying "she can take care of herself" and yet every other chapter was balling like a 3 year old. *sigh* I gave it 2 stars for the sex and the sex only.

3Not bad  Oct 03, 2002
The one thing I like about Marilyn Lee is that she's not afraid to write about sex. The scenes between Jamie and Dan are pretty hot. The thing that needed work was the dialogue; it came of so corny and unbelievable. Plus, Jamie was a bit annoying with her insecurities and flakiness. I couldn't believe she was a cop w/ extensive marital arts training. At times, she acted like a timid mouse that would cry at a drop of a hat.

If you're looking for somewhat suspense and good sex scenes then I'd say read it, if you're looking for more substance don't bother wasting your money.
