A Wild Flight of Imagination: The Story of Julia Grace Wales and Jane Addams
Once again Donna Fortin has bought her characters to life. This time the characters are real people taking part in significant world events. Jane Addams and Julia Grace Wales tell us (mostly in their own words) their story of the first International Womens Conference in The Hague. Although written for the younger audience, once again older people will find just as much to learn. We see the human side of historical events and how seemingly ordinary people can do extra ordinary things. Fortin has made what could be dull into interesting reading and hopefully stimulating young people into exploring their own potential for doing things in this world. The timing of this book is apt in a world where we are at last recognizing War is NOT the way to deal with our differences. It is time to give reconciliation and peace a chance to survive and thrive.
