Jessie Penn-Lewis was A Woman Who Laughed. With the call of God upon her, and the anointing of the Holy Spirit, she overcame the obstacles of a severe physical handicap and a male dominated society. In serving God and pursuing the walk of faith she discovered the secret to "the abundant life" and victorious Christian living. Over the course of her ministry she authored numerous books and pamphlets. Having earned the respect and admiration of her male counterparts she became a regular speaker at Keswick as well as many other religious conventions. Her ministry eventually encircled the globe - something unheard of for a woman in her day.
