Accidental Slave

Elizabeth knew the guy she'd beat out of a high-powered job was jealous of her success, but she never dreamed the lengths to which he'd go to get his revenge. Drugged and sold at auction in an underground BDSM club, she awakens in the home of Cole Pearson, the sexiest guy she’s ever laid eyes on. Focused on clearing her reputation and escaping the tangled web of office intrigue woven by her rival, Elizabeth tries to ignore the compelling lure of the handsome stranger. Cole, a romantic Dom seeking his true love, quickly realizes the sexy slave girl he bought has no clue about and even less interest in BDSM…or so she says. But she can’t deny the slow burn of desire igniting between them. With masterful skill and sensual dominance, Cole guides his skittish new lover on an erotic journey that will break down all her carefully constructed defenses and leave her yearning for the passionate control of a stern but loving Master.

5An excellent story from an excellent author!  Jan 01, 2010
By Elizabethann
In the corporate world, Elizabeth Martin was a woman to be feared. Poised, always in control, she was dedicated to job, and worked hard to make herself the best in her business. But when one man decides to take her down, will she be able to survive his attacks?

When it came to achieving her goals, Elizabeth Martin knew what she wanted. Her goals were simple: to go all the way to the top. When she was hired as the new executive vice president for a prestigious advertising firm, she felt she was well on her way. However, she never counted on a disgruntled rival taking a very creative revenge-drugging her, and selling her in a slave auction in a BDSM club. Will her career be ruined by the sabatogue?

Cole Pearson had very few requirements in his life, but recently he had felt something was missing. When he went to the slave auction at The House of Usher, he never imagined he would find the woman who would complete him, or that she would be completely oblivious to everything around her. Compelled to try to help her, Cole decided he would do whatever it took to save her. Would she be willing to stay in his life after she realized what happened?

With a villain that gives new meaning to the words slimy and nefarious, a very good cast of secondary characters, and a very entertaining writing style, ACCIDENTAL SLAVE was a great read. Ms. Thompson does an excellent job, producing a story that appeals even to those not involved in the BDSM scene. Cole was an amazing character, dominant without being overbearing, and very caring towards Elizabeth. As a heroine, Elizabeth was also an excellent character, and I really liked the dichotomy in her personality. The love scenes were amazing, so spicy that they almost curl the toes. Fantastic job!

2Completely Disappointed  May 17, 2010

This was an incredibly disappointing book. After an initial setting of the scene between the original characters it became more and more about the love story of the principal female and a secondary male character. Much of what went on was TOTALLY immaterial to the story and was essentially filler.

While the book did delve into some of the kink that the story is supposed to be about, the descriptions are rudimentary and unfulfilling.

I read this on my Kindle and fully 70% of the book was taken up by nothing having to do with the character's assumption of the role of "slave" (yes, I checked as I was reading). Additionally, throughout the book the character was referred to as "sub" or "submissive". There is a distinct difference between sub/submissive and slave in the world of D/s.

I suppose for some, what little story there is about D/s is probably exciting, as there are some fairly accurate descriptions of what goes on in these relationships, but I feel that the title is misleading and inaccurate.

Frankly, I've read romance novels that provided better writing about dominant men and submissive women. I'm not sure the author really did the research for this one.

5Best erotica I have ever read!  Mar 02, 2010
By ¢¾ Leah ¢¾ "Leah"
Fantatic story telling! Wonderful sex scences! Nothing about them was offensive or over done. Best part was... there was NOT chapters and chapters of talking about feelings. Cole is a perfect DOM who was in controle but never went to a dark and scary place. I never felt that Elizabeth was being treated like a whore. And there was no over the top LOVE talk. It was perfect!

5Accidental Slave by Claire Thompson reviewed by [...]  Jul 29, 2009

Elizabeth Martin is finally on top of the advertising world, garnering a great executive spot at an exclusive advertising agency. Most of her co-workers are happy for her, excerpt for one disgruntled colleague, Gary. When Elizabeth asks Gary to be her escort at an upcoming charity auction, he leaps at the chance, plotting to drug her drink and take her to an exclusive slave auction instead. What will Elizabeth's reaction be when she realizes she's not at the charity auction and is now the property of a Dom?

When an author can weave kink into a well-written plot driven story, I know I'm in for a rare treat. Claire Thompson really shines as a premiere BDSM writer in Accidental Slave. Elizabeth has no idea what she's in for when Cole Pearson buys her at the slave auction. Cole attends the auction hoping maybe this will be the day he'll find a submissive to speak to his romantic soul. He immediately notices that something's wrong with Elizabeth and suspects foul play.

Getting Elizabeth back to his apartment, Cole finds out the truth behind her being there at the auction. Figuring out Elizabeth is an utter newbie to the D/s scene, he allows her to decide if she wants a D/s relationship with him. Initially reluctant to allow Cole to assist her, she's touched by the way he defends her, giving her encouragement to combat Gary's ugliness. Driven like a moth to a flame, Cole wisely gives her little tastes of BDSM, taking her to new heights in submission with their every meeting. Under his tutelage, Elizabeth blossoms into a woman who is comfortable with her sexuality, able to give Cole the submissive of his dreams.

Ms. Thompson unites two unlikely characters destined to be together in Accidental Slave. I was hooked from its first sentence and chortled with glee as justice finally comes to Gary at this book's wonderful end.

5Another great book from Claire Thompson!!  May 17, 2010
By Michael Pettinato "mike2922"
Given the cover photo, I expected this one to be somewhat like "Golden Angel:Unwilling sex slave", also by Claire Thompson, however this one was quite different, & in many ways better, In this one you have disgruntled Ad Executive Gary, who has been passed over for a big promotion only to see his dream job go to a younger woman Elizabeth, at first he tries to get past his anger, & being a member of a underground BDSM club, takes an opportunity to drug her at a company function & takes her to this club in the hopes of her being sold at a secret slave auction to a man never to be seen again, his plan works, well almost, the man who bids on her is actually a high powered real estate mogul named Cole, who in many ways has a kind heart, & when Elizabeth awakens from the crazy night before, not remembering anything, Cole is smitten with her & secretly wants her as his private slave/submissive, but first, he realizes she is not a willful submissive & both soon realize what Gary has done, in the mist of all this Elizabeth & Cole begin to get to know one another & are in many ways drawn to one another, but first Elizabeth confronts Gary & he manages to twist everything around her, almost costing her her job, Cole however helps her trace back to where Gary might have slipped up not covering his tracks & sure enough he is caught with incriminating evidence for trying to discredit her & is soon fired, because of this sweet victory Elizabeth & Cole grow closer & as they do, she becomes curious about the BDSM lifestyle & her & Cole embark on the journey of BDSM play, there is no forced submission here, which is a nice change, but the exchange of power between the two is a matter of total trust, Cole doesn't force anything on her, & as a result she seeks to be a willful submissive & eventually is willing to go as far as he will take her, the whole time I was reading this all I could think about is who could play these two in a film, Pierce Bronsnon comes to mind as Cole, maybe Megan Fox as Elizabeth, but it will likely never get made into a film, but it would be a nice adaption, all in all, this is a good read about two professional people embarking on a BDSM journey where love results in the end, Highly recommed this one.
