I had to attend IELTS for immigration purposes and I had to receive at least 6. My English is not that good but I just had to pass the IELTS exam. In my country I could take a very expensive course to prepare for the exam, but I couldn't afford it. Also when I was searching in the internet, I found some expensive courses for IELTS preparation. And finally I found this cheap book and bought it. This book is great! It explains everything about the IELTS exam in simple English, about all the parts of it. It teaches you how to prepare for each part. It has many very very useful techniques.
You can prepare for the IELTS by using only this book, I did it. I didn't need anything else (in this book there are links to additional tests that you can do for preparation). I received 7 in my IELTS! This was unbelievable for me! Thank you Simone for this great book, you made my dream for immigration possible!

An excellent book for IELTS general exam Apr 10, 2010

I want to say that this is a great book. Before I found this book, I finished reading other books for IELTS general exam. Only after I read this book, I feel this book really target the general exam. It is written in explain English so that I can read it only one night. After the first reading, I went back to read it carefully because it gives a very good summary on all subjects, digest it step by step. It does help me in improve the exam skill and also give other online resource so that the reader can fully take the advantage of the website. Also this book is written by the person who has the IELTS exam experience and knows both the thing behind the exam and what the learner need to obtain within very short time.
Anyway, this book is the best I found for the IELTS general exam. The price is also cheap compared with other book.

I was looking for material to prepare for IELTS exam. found this book and after reading all the reviews got one for myself. The book gives you a lot of tips to prepare effectively within a short time . knowing english is not the only requirement for passing this test. knowing how to approach the test within the given time and constraints is very important. I find this book to be very useful in that.

I came to know about this book two weeks before my actual test. After reading the sample tips, I didn't hesitated to buy one. I had my IELTS exam yesterday 30th October. I am proud and confident to say that I did very well for the Four Tests (Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking). I am really confident that I am going to get my aim, "Band 8 or 9"! Although the results will be posted two weeks after the exam but I am pretty much sure about my gut feeling! Woohoo! This book really helped me a lot! All the tips,and the do's and dont's on this book were really true and helpful! Everything written on this book were fantastic! It will really help you ACE THE IELTS! Believe me, you won't regret buying this book! Go and get One NOW!

I teach IELTS and own over ten IELTS books. This is one of my favourites because the author has delivered excellent information in a short, user-friendly book.
Importantly, it is written in plain English so it is easy to understand. It focusses on plenty of useful tips and tricks which can be of great benefit for anyone who is going to take the IELTS test.
Other great features include appropriate phrases to use in the writing and speaking segments as well as an excellent study plan that students can use to prepare for the test.
It is a terrific book for IELTS preparation.
