Acrobats & Myths: The Sculptor Elaine Hyman

The sculptor, Elaine Hyman, is known for her stone carvings and clay figures. Although her sculpture has been widely exhibited, Acrobats & Myths is the first book to document her life and work. Art historian, Gillian Greenhill Hannum of Manhattanville College, wrote an in depth essay for this book, examining Ms. Hyman's role as an artist and mother, and the artistic influences in her work. One of Ms. Hyman's sons wrote a passionate essay about life growing up with such a talented and exuberant mother. The book includes 20 plates of her sculpture, now in private and museum collections.
