A Must Have Inspirational book Jun 03, 2009

Gene Dirr's collection of 52 weekly lessons should be included on every Christian's bookshelf. Short, timely and loaded with unique insights, every lesson is thought provoking, uplifting and positive. Mr. Dirr's ideas help not only with the day to day decisions about what being a Christian is, they also encourage deeper thought about God and a better understanding of what being a Christian should be.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who needs comfort during a crisis or to anyone who seeks new insights on what a relationship with God can be.

Although I am among the unsaved, I found that "Always Growing in Faith" provides valuable context for, and help with, a wide range of issues, both large and small. Mr. Dirr uses his extensive knowledge of history and the Bible, as well as a sensitivity about the challenges of our daily lives, and shows how what is in the Bible provides guidance in virtually any situation. A valuable tool to make sense of a confusing world.

"Always Growing In The Faith", with its easy-to-read layout, is a wonderful Christian resource. For those who are seeking to learn more about Christianity to those who are already well-versed, the book offers intellectual, yet understandable and applicable-to-everyday-life, Biblical insights. I particularly like Gene's concept of grouping his lessons so they are relevant to the seasons of the Church year as well as to the fifty-two weeks of the calendar year. This gives a nice, natural, timely order to the book. And speaking of time, this grouping also allows for assimilation of smaller "bits" of information or larger "bytes"...Given Gene's interesting and spot-on references, you may find yourself reading ahead to enjoy the latter!

Being a Sunday school teacher myself, I would recommend this book to, not only Sunday school teachers, but to every Christian who would like a simple, but thoughtful and well written, series of lessons on biblical content. The author has covered most doctrinal issues with not only facts and insights, but humor. Well done, good and faithful servant!

"Always Growing In The Faith" is an uplifting book of Christian faith. I find myself reviewing the 52 weekly lessons helping me understand my goals as a Christian. Gene has written his book in easy to understand language.
I have know Mr. Dirr for some years now and I am very pleased to see him publish his thoughts for all to share and use as a guide for life.
I recommend this book to all Christians and fellow travelers.
