Amber Eyes

Dragons are not born with amber eyes, fire, or wings. Only Awen doesn't know this. He awoke on a deserted beach fully formed, thinking all dragons are born this way until he meets Grace, an adolescent who belongs to a community of dragons that are very different from him. The mystery deepens when through a series of mishaps, Grace is transformed into a fire breathing, flying, amber eyed dragon like Awen. After being ostracized, these two dragons embarked on a journey to find others like themselves and the how and why of their differences.

4Enjoyable for all!  Jun 15, 2008
By Vicki Delisa
I originally bought this book for my students to read but I wanted to read it first. I thought it was an enjoyable read and Kathy developed the characters well and added creative settings. The story was exciting and had new ideas that kept my attention! Sure hope there will be a second book because I want to know more of Beemwyr's adventures and who Grace chooses for her mate.

4Good, fast, fun read  May 15, 2008
By MarKat "Readsalot"
The story Amber Eyes is a good, fast and fun read. The book is about change; the characters are dragons with definite s personalities that one can relate to and follow through the various stages of the story line. The story is not predictable, the characters are carefully crafted, and the pages are easy to keep turning to get to the next chapter. Enjoyable clear to the end.

5In my top five best books  May 08, 2008

Amber Eyes is a stunning tale of two dragons on an exciting quest to recover their memory. Along the way they see many amazing things such as an evil black dragon who tries to take their memories and make them slaves. I liked this book because it was a great page turner and packed with adventure. I highly recommend this book to all readers of all ages who like fantasy, adventure, and dragons.
