Very informative on an important topic Sep 17, 2009
By D. Cohen Finally, someone has written a book that provides a constructive spin on reducing carbon emissions from a power plant. While I am not comfortably knowledgeable with all the chemistry used in the book, I walked away with the strong idea that we can reduce carbon dioxide emissions. As described in the book, there has been amazing scientific progress in the last few years in this area. If the predictions and possibilities in the book are correct, we can all realize tremendous savings and enjoy the benefits of exploiting the opportunities discussed in this book.

What on earth are we waiting for? Oct 05, 2009

"The Big Jiggety"
As a lover of nature and the environment, the title of this book really grabbed me. An American Solution for Reducing Carbon Emissions... Yes! author Andy Dupont skillfully, charts and statistics popping out of the page, delivers on his promise to describe a natural approach at reducing carbon emissions. We can cure the global warming problem in our lifetime, and while it will require effort, it need not gouge out the beauty of life as we know it. What, dare I say on earth, are we waiting for to implement some of the techniques for solving the Climate Change problem? The U.S. and other nations can create many jobs. In light of the recent economic downturn this could not come at a better time.
Great Book! May 13, 2011
By ecoman This unique book provides the basic knowledge that engineers and policy makers need in forming a strategy for reducing carbon emissions. The science of biotechnology will grow rapidly in the next few years and this book explains how to make the reduction of carbon emissions profitable. The basics ideas expressed in this book will be used by environmentalist for many years while the U.S. begins to synthesize biofuels. You will find this book useful because it describes an effective technique that we can use today to reduce the problem of global warming.
A top choice for those looking for an overview of possible solutions to energy crises Jan 10, 2010
By Midwest Book Review Something has to change before it's too late. "An American Solution for Reducing Carbon Emissions, Averting Global Warming, Creating Green Energy and Sustainable Employment" is an advocacy for change towards alternative energy sources for America and its vehicles. Discussing alternative power sources, their strengths and weaknesses, Andre DuPont gives readers a comprehensive overlook at the energy crisis. "An American Solution" is a top choice for those looking for an overview of possible solutions to energy crises.
Great book on CO2 control Nov 13, 2009
By John Schakenbach André's style is readable, engrossing, inspiring and informative. This book is a must read for anyone serious about addressing conventional and greenhouse gas emissions from power plants in a pragmatic, cost-effective manner. André pulls it all together by describing a control technology that can reduce SO2, NOx, mercury, and CO2 emissions from power plants, create jobs, meet the increased demand for power by new plug-in vehicles, and reduce our dependence on foreign oil. Three cheers.
