What will your other children think? Jan 17, 2008
By Sam Wheat

One of parents' biggest concerns about having a child with Down syndrome is "how will this affect my other children?" Well, now, directly from the mouth of a little sister, you can find out how Down syndrome can enrich the lives of everyone in the family.
This is not a story of tragedy or triumph; it is not a story of an adult who has "beat all the odds" or "overcame" anything. It is a story about a family who recognizes that an extra chromosome is just one more thing that makes their family wonderful.
If you are looking for a tear-jerker, or a story of heroism, look elsewhere. All you will find here is a story of a family who realizes that the "everyday" is something special!

An Everyday Inspiration Jan 17, 2008
By Iris H. Franklin Wonderful reading tool that inspires you about the life of a family with an extra special son. It shows how expectations and reality can be total opposites. Would recommend this book especially for families, friends and professionals that are involved with special needs children.

An inspiration about a child that was born with downs. The young boy exceeded his parents exspectation and showed them he could be like everyone else. He Had lots of family to comfort him and be there through his growing life.Ian is a smart young man.He has been a inspiration to other children.A young man with all his dreams and wishes ahead of him.Ian has helped me understand that if one child with Downs can succeed then all children with this need can succeed in life and become who ever they want to be in life. This Book gives a story about a young man who went from childhood to a adult and turned out to be a very special person to his family and friends.
Thanks Kim

This is one of those books you just want to read again and again! Ian's spirit comes alive early on, and by the time you finish reading you feel like you know him personnally. His story is truly inspirational and uplifting, and the book itself is very well-written and has many lessons to teach. Highly recommended...

Awesome Nov 04, 2008

I have not gotten a chance to read this book as I have just found out about it. I used to babysit Kayla and Ian when I was in high school and I'm so excited to buy and read this book. Please check it out and help her support the charities the funds will go to. I remember that she used to spend all summer reading books and is a very smart girl. I haven't seen them in years but I can bet that this is a must read!
