And Wake Me with the Morning Light

Tired of living a life of poverty, homelessness and violence, a 21-year-old young woman attempts to escape by joining an AmeriCorps program in another state. She is assigned to work in a therapeutic preschool program for children with behavioral and emotional disorders, many whom are foster children who have been abused and neglected. Recounting each of their stories, this young woman shares the frustrations... and sometimes joys... of caring for children who are in need of so much more than she could ever give them.
