My 7 year-old loves Luigi! The story keeps him interested while he is learning all about Philadelphia. He wants to read it over and over again. Can't wait for the next in the series. The author's enthusiasm for the book and for teaching is infectious. I hightly recommend the book as well as having Luigi (the car and the author) appear at your school or reading event. Beep-beep!

What a cute book. It teaches geography and praises Philly at the same time. Good for new immigrants, teaching tolerance/ difference, and to give English language learners a sense of belonging.

This is a fun way to discover different aspects of Philadelphia. I wonder where Luigi is going next.
A wonderful children's book! Feb 03, 2009
By S. Jacobson I recommend this book to anyone with children. I have ordered copies for my nieces and nephews. I particularly love the illustrations!
Wonderfully Captivating - The Kids LOVE the Philly Fiat! Jan 20, 2009
By Mariano A. Mattei I purchased an advanced copy of this first book in the Andiamo Luigi series after seeing the Car in person during the Phillies celebrations. I couldn't wait for the book to come out.
After reading it I was fascinated to learn that much of the book was based on the true story of the Author - Louis "Luigi" Borda. I was also attracted to the positive Italian-American characters.
Once reading it to the children it has become a nightly read. Both Luigi and the Philly Famous Fiat are lovable characters. I'm proud to have this book in my collection and to be able to share the experience with my children. Andiamo Luigi! I can't wait for the next book - we're hooked!
