The author's near death experience revealed that the imminent death of earth is a choice made by humans. Ways to reverse this cycle were also revealed. He published this data on his websites but found he wouldn't reach enough people in time to avoid earth's demise. So he turned to his past as a writer to create a book intended to return drama to its original purpose as a motivator of human behavior. If humans won't respond to the science showing their continued consumption habits equals their extinction, then perhaps they'll respond to a dramatization of their mass murder.
