Apple Pie For The Mind: A Recipe For Inspiration

Apple Pie For The Mind is not a cookbook, but a thought provoking Christian recipe for helping and loving others. It is a compelling book that documents supernatural spiritual miracles and true-life experiences that unexpectedly put the author in a position to touch, change or affect other people’s lives, as well as how others have touched the author’s life. The book’s message will inspire you to help and love others using the gifts you were given by God. Helping another will also influence that person to help another, and another, and another. Even using your gifts one time can touch and connect with hundreds if not thousands of lives. Your gifts can determine how and what you can do to help others. It may be a family member, a close relative, a friend or a complete stranger. Apple Pie For The Mind will change your life. It will also influence you to change other lives too.

What a wonderful book. I did not know what "Apple Pie" would have to do with Christianity, but you quickly find out the book is Christian, describes several miracles experienced by the author and talks about the responsibility we all have to reach out and help one another. It challenges the reader whether you are a Christian or not. I thoroughly enjoyed what I read. The graphics in the book were extremely well done (beautiful). A good read. I loved it.

Denis W. Day shares from his heart about God touching him in profound ways. Through remarkable experiences the author tells how he became connected to God after his diagnosis with Parkinson's and passes on a message of meaning in all things we do for others and the blessing of unique gifts which God has given to each one of us.

A spiritual and personal story about God revealing himself through other people, by revelation in a dream, but most importantly about how others can be touched by God through each one of us, whenever we help others.

I find this book inspiring because someone who is over 60 with Parkinson's with some regrets in his life found God at the very spot he was in. The book is spiritual without preaching, and I think the whole account of what this man experienced on a spiritual level has been shared with beautiful honesty and the loving intent of helping us see how the Lord reveals himself.

The watercolor illustrations by Peggy Boyce and Scripture leading into each chapter are like taking a walk in a beautiful garden.

One man's retelling of how God has touched and led him, and how he shares this gift with others. Most importantly, he reminds that we all have a social and Christian responsibility to do the same. His personal experiences make for inspiring lessons. Very beautiful illustrations of plants and flowers tie into the messages, especially when you read the chapter on The Book's Flowers. Highly recommended for any & everyone.

Denis Day takes us on his personal journey toward and with God. Through this book I am inspired to live for God and others before myself.
