Excellent & Fun! Like having Cliff in a Book! Dec 09, 2009

This is a fun, fast read! Very enjoyable and uplifting. His way with words draws you in, and will bring a smile to your face, and occasionally a tear to your eye.
Cliff's energy and enthusiasm is so high. Don't miss this chance to relive many of his best talks.
I highly recommend it!

Having just seen Cliff speak at a Rotary event a couple weekends ago, his witty humor is sure to make you laugh out loud. Definitely going to purchase this book just to see what else he has to say. Being able to hear him speak in person is an honor and real treat. If you are ever given the opportunity to hear him speak live, I whole-heartedly recommend it!

I had a preview of the book,[ASIN:As I was Saying...: A Collection of Favorite Speeches and Articles," when I recently heard Cliff Dochterman speak at a Rotarian event. The warm, simple humor and wisdom of his words was inspiring. The book is the next best thing to seeing and hearing this great man in person. He definitely should be producing audio/visual materials because he is so warm and charismatic and speaks/writes from the heart. Anyone can benefit from his speeches and articles that hold pearls of wisdom for all time. Cliff is a man for all seasons and he has important thoughts to impart to mankind. He is not preach-y but has a natural enjoyment of life and people so that his message is very easy to swallow. Warm your heart and read the book - Don't deprive yourself of a feel-good experience.

As a Rotarian I heard a lot about Cliff and his books so I finally ordered this one. I have really enjoyed it. He sheds a lot of light on some of the traditions of Rotary. Cliff also shares his beliefs as to how service clubs have to change to continue to grow. He doesn't mind calling a spade a spade, and how we should look in the mirror if we want to improve our clubs. Cliff encourages FUN in our clubs. It's an easy read and quite humorous. There's also more than a few good quips to steal for future Rotary speeches! I would recommend it to any Rotarian or for that matter any service club member. The book is especially good reading for incoming Club Presidents. it would make a fun tradition for Presidents to hand this book down to the next President. If you enjoy taking your service club to the next level, want to know more about Rotary, if you want to take your Club to the "next level" I think you'll find it fun, informative and very enlightening.
