This is a very cute story and adorable illustrations! Aunt Allie is a silly but lovable character and Tory and Izzy are a perfect match for each other! Your children will enjoy reading this silly story!

My children love alligators and when I saw this book I thought it would be a cute little read. One of the teachers at school read the book to the class and the children enjoyed it and laughed out loud at the funny antics of Aunt Allie.

Aunt Allie's Alligator had my five year old son rolling with laughter, but also got him thinking, two things that truly make up a great children's book. Carl Boekhoff's story features a memorable, excentric character in Aunt Allie and kind girl who loves reading to her pet in Tory. The story tells a great tale while also subtly letting kids know about relationships with pets, why some animals can be pets and others can't, and that learning to read is something to strive for. Also, it's fun to look for Aunt Allie's mouse in each picture, something my son had a blast with! As an author and education major with a background in early childhood literature, this book is a total package and I'd recommend it to anyone with kids in the 3-7 range.

My wife received this book from her Father. We read it to our seven year old son and he laughed at the funny story and great illustrations.

I purchased 2 of these books for grandchildren. They loved it and also had fun looking for the little mouse hidden in the photos!
