A ticket to another world Jul 24, 2009 With out of this world technology and picturesque landscapes, "Behind the Sun" left me thinking about what is really out there in our universe and beyond. For me this book was a cross between a history lesson, a sci-fi movie with an element of fantasy.
I love the way the author crossed from scene to scene, as I was always wondering what the other experts were up to.
I also enjoyed the way the author portrayed the various sights on Earth, it felt like I was there.
I hope there is more Jun 18, 2009 This is one of the deepest sci-fantasy books I have ever involved myself in.
The questions for the reader keep coming thick and fast, whether based on religion/faith, history and experience or just plain old interest.
Well worth the read and I am certainly looking forward to more from this author..

I'm addicted - when's the next book out? Mar 29, 2009 Journey across space with Sally and team to a planet full of mystery and danger! Be prepared to question your beliefs and knowledge of history, and become immersed in this vividly described world of Sue Nielsen's creation. But watch your back - you don't know who you can trust anymore!

An engrossing page turner! Feb 05, 2009 Behind the Sun is a great read. Sci-fi, history, mythology, psychology, religion and action - this book pushed all the right buttons for me. Sue Neilsen effortlessly combines Stargate-eque action with the kind of old school sci-fi that explores what it means to be human.
The story is set in the not too distant future where, despite some technology advances, security is tight, terrorism is still a threat and the UN is still ineffectual. An international exploration is sent to the newly discovered Earth 2 to investigate it's suitability for habitation - yup, Earth 1 is still just as polluted and over crowded. And that's all I' can say plot wise without spoilers.
Even at close to 600 pages this was an effortless read. The plot twists and action kept me turning the pages way past bedtime night after night as the exploration team faced sabotage and psychological bombshells. The conclusion of Behind the Sun is really only the beginning; Sue's characters have a whole new world to explore and I'm looking forward to seeing a sequel soon.

Adventure and intrigue Jan 26, 2009 If you like Sci-fi and adventure and a mystery all in one thrilling read; then you need to get "Behind the Sun" by Sue Nielsen.
Space exploration, mythology and excitment mix with a touch of adventure, romance and a great question: what and who waits for humans- on the planet, "Behind the Sun"?
