A keen eye and ear for southern customs and manners Apr 14, 2007
By Stephen Enniss Reading BellCat and PigBoy is like going on an archaeological dig into the customs and manners of southern life. Patsy Dickey's command of Washington Street customs, food, and speech patterns all ring with authenticity. What carries one along, however, is the well-paced story itself and her highly appealing heroine, Maribelle, that "beautiful piece of broken clay." Highly recommended.

A Southern Tale of Family, Tragedy and Love Mar 24, 2007
By Ann D. Ray Patsy Dickey's novel,"BellCat and Pigboy, is a page turner. Once you start it you will be reluctant to put it down until you've read through to the end. The plot is intriguing, her characterizations of people in a small southern town, along with vivid descriptions of the locale, are very real. I would reccommend this book to anyone looking for a sensitive story about some very human folks, good and bad, much like some we all know

By Janet T. Umberger I was thoroughly engrossed in the book. Although it was set in the 40s through the 60s, is still describes much of life in the south today.
Bellcat & Pigboy Review Nov 18, 2009
By Wayne Duttenhaver I was very impressed with this novel. It followed a good line and was believable. I contacted the author and asked her how much time she had spent in Paris as I am very familiar with Paris. One part of the book reviewed points of interest which brought back memories. To my amazement, she has never been to Paris which indicated some real study to be able to describe so well somthing she had never seen.
