Everyone is special May 22, 2009
By proud mom This is a very cute book that shows children that everyone is created wonderfully by God. This book also serves a great purpose to inform kids and parents about a great orgainization called Heart for Africa (HeartforAfrica.org) Heart for Africa saves orphaned children in Swaziland and Kenya. I read it with preschoolers at church to let them know how special they are to God and how they can help other children in different parts of the world.
A seminal and compelling story for young children with an underlying and valued message of hope, purpose, love, and faith Jul 21, 2009
By Midwest Book Review As described in the Bible, a 'behemoth' is a very large animal. Benny is just such an animal and for some reason unknown to him, God has made Benny's skin with a great many colors. This results in Benny's considerable confusion and compels him on a journey to meet his 'King Creator' to discover the reasons behind his coloration and what Benny's ultimate purpose in life would be. "Melissa Leembruggen's original tales is distinctively illustrated by the imaginative artistry of Trish McKinney. The result is a seminal and compelling story for young children with an underlying and valued message of hope, purpose, love, and faith.
