there are no words for how powerful this book is! Feb 02, 2010 Every time I even see the cover of this book it brings tears to my eyes as the emotions of suffering through my 3 pregnancies come flooding back in! THIS IS A MUST READ if you are suffering from, have suffered through or are caring for someone that is suffering through HG in pregnancy! It is SO validating to read stories from other women who have experienced the pain and agony of HG. It taught me that I was not a wimp, crazed or otherwise. I had a true and real and devastating illness. Ashli's insight offers not only comfort and hope, but real honest information which may be able to help you or a loved one cope as you struggle through the pain that is HG.

Validating Jan 12, 2009 This book is insightful and provides information for HG sufferers and family and friends who are coping with this debilitating disease. The book helps validate all of the feelings I have had while suffering with my first pregnancy and HG. Thanks for a wonderful book on a fairly unknown subject.

Wish I had this with my 1st pregnancy Jan 07, 2009 I found this book with my current pregancy. My hyperemesis was full-blown again, and I was desperate for new help. This is my third hyperemesis pregnancy. Ashli's book was the greatest resource I found. The personal anecdotes helped me feel like I was not alone and I could get through this hell. Her medical advice was clear, step by step, and easy to understand. I was able to give certain stories to my husband and parents so they could understand my plite better. I downloaded the HG pamphlet to give to my medical group which was suprisingly uninformed about hyperemesis. Because of the knowledge I have during this pregnancy, I was able to get on Zofran immediately and request hydration twice a week as soon as the vomitting began to last all day and night. I moved in with my parents for help with my 3-year-old, and am doing so much better now at 5 months. During my first pregnancy, I was deathly ill ALL 9 months because I didn't get the proper care early enough. I wish I had this book in 2005!

The Best Book About HG!! Sep 25, 2008 I came across this book after suffering with HG for 2 pregnancies. Finally a book that does not tell you to eat some crackers before getting out of bed and the morning sickness will go away. Women need to know that HG is not just "normal morning sickness". This book is so full of information you are sure to learn a lot from it, but in the very least you will get comfort that what you are suffering from is a real sickness that needs special care from your doctor. Also, this is a must read for anyone who is caring for a woman suffering from HG.
Thank you Ashli for the time you took to write this book. All OB/GYN offices should have a copy of it.
