Beyond the Grasp of Demons

A naked young woman is found crucified in a disused rural graveyard. Her killer has left an unusual mark on the body. But, as television journalist Robert Brockman begins to investigate the story, his girlfriend is killed mysteriously - a death that he later discovers was intended to be his. A few years later, he falls in love with the beautiful barrister representing the man accused of the graveyard killing. That puts Brockman's life more at risk as the trial reveals some unexpected and alarming truths about those present. This leads to further killings and Brockman is dangerously connected to all of them. But he is like the varied people he encounters, whether monks or police detectives, who all have aspects of their pasts which haunt them. Brockman soon realises that failing to discover why he has become embroiled in the series of sinister events means paying the ultimate price - his life. This leads him on a constantly changing and twisting adventure between Dartmoor, London and the wilds of the Scottish Highlands where he is exposed to and experiences evil and corruption in the diverse worlds of Benedictine nuns and monks and the supposed forces of law and order.
