I'm not a big fan of poetry finding it difficult sometimes to pull out what the poet is trying to say to me. Ms. Sabala's work-Birdsong-is exactly the opposite. Not only is it easily accessible but uses wordplay and resonance to make its points. These are stimulating and interesting poems and strike just the right chords. You don't have to love poems to love this book. It's humorous and thoughtful and a couple a day are what the doctor ordered. I was disappointed the poet hasn't released other works but hopefully she will rectify the situation soon. I look forward to hearing more from her. A great read. Well worth the money!

I smiled all the way through this collection of witty and whimsical poetry and verse. Feelings and emotions so cleverly expressed. My favorite, page 38 "Things The World Should Delight In".
