Paranormal Romance and Intrigue Jan 29, 2008
By P. Webb Sally and Lang are two people in search of a worthy connection. Sally, a super intelligent, independent woman, looks for a man who's her match intellectually, but also someone who can understand her unique psychic gifts. Lang, isolated in his Central European village among his kind, seeks contact with the outside world. He sets off to find others like him, and instead finds Sally. For both, they are the first person to truly "see" them, and their intimacy is immediate and intense, yet fraught with obstacles. Lang's family will surely never accept Sally. Sally's world would certainly have problems accepting a creature with blue skin whose ancestor inspired the myth of the werewolf.
Still, unable to resist the attraction, they persist in their relationship and discover a love that transcends the problems, interference, and prejudice of the outside world. Their love becomes a light of hope for others in Lang's clan who long for more than the old ways. That's when the real trouble starts, as Lang's family is drawn into a clash of rivalries at home and rebellious young ones who've tasted the freedon of a new world.
Ultimately, Blue in the Moonlight is a story of family; obligations to a close knit, old world family and a desire to create a new family without restriction in a new world. This thoroughly researched and very sexy book will surely open your eyes to how we fall in love and how we look at love between people who are very different.

I so thoroughly enjoyed this book! I read it last year while being the "cruise director" at a sales incentive trip for our distributors. I had a hard time putting the book down and probably ignored some of my duties.
I was not ready to leave the characters and was hoping there will be a sequel or another book by S. Holling.

Fiction or Truth? May 07, 2008
By Chris Swimeley The chance meeting of Sally and Lang my not be as improbable as one might think. With so many unknowns in this world, who is to say there is not a race of blue people whom we cannot see under the usual circumstances?
"Blue In The Moonlight" has so many elements in it-fear, suspense, humor, telepathy, to name a few. With the story happening in the DC Metro area, and your use of the current time frame with references to current historic happenings, it was easy to place myself in with the characters and feel like I was there with them, a part of their lives.
As the lives of Sally and Lang intertwine, the reader can see that they have many of the same joys and problems as so called normal people-love, misunderstandings, issues with extended family members, and racist attitudes over "mixed" marriages. Overall, I thought the characters depicted a fairly normal family group--except for being blue and transforming into dogs when necessary!

When Sally and Lang meet, it is more than two lives encountering one another or simply the beginning of a romance. The pair represents two worlds colliding and heralds a time of change for a people as alien to us as we are to them. Lang is no ordinary man, but a blue skinned being whose race has birthed the legends of humanity. Now, the time has come for his folk to change, for their world to expand, and Sally is one who will be a catalyst to that event. However, such things do not happen without conflict and without prices being exacted. Precisely how dearly it will cost the two lovers will unfold over the pages as you learn whether their passion will be strengthened and deepened for not only their good, but for the ultimate good of their societies, or if the hidebound and fearful will win in destroying them.
With a more relaxing pace than your standard paranormal, such as Kenyon or Harrison might deliver, the author gives readers who have enjoyed Constance O'Day Flannery's recent work a longer story than hers typically is in which to sink their teeth. Having a decidedly New Age flavor, Blue In Moonlight is quite unlike anything you have ever read before.
