Small town charm Mar 25, 2010
By J. Schaeffer This was a very enjoyable read. If you belong to a bookclub or are considering joining one, this is a must-read. Peppered throughout the book are small town nuances, superb recipes, and lists of books that the club members highly recommend. Also included is the list of books that have met the member's stamp of approval (an interesting process which must render unanimous votes to make the cut). This is definitely a quick read that you can escape with on any given afternoon.
a light hearted "sandwich" book Apr 03, 2011
By Megan Atkinson This is the first book I've read of Jan's and really enjoyed it. It is a fun, quick read, and the book reviews and recipes included are a nice bonus. I will watch for a part 2!
A Book Lovers Must Read! Mar 25, 2010
By J. Davis Bookworms Anonymous is a fun read for any book lover. The "worms" each bring an interesting twist to the elite club that meets monthly to review books, eat and chat in an out of the way small town. The stamp of approval book list is invaluable and worth purchasing alone. I look forward to hearing Jan's next story!
Book Clubs Mar 25, 2010
By Kate L. Ter Haar As a member of a book club I highly recommend this book. If you are not a member of a book club, I still highly recommend this book. Jan Kellis entertains the reader as she describes her book club and it's members.
Book lists, recipes, and stories of small town life all lead to a very entertaining read.
Love the book club motto; "Life's too short to read bad books."

Get This Book! Sep 14, 2009
By Linda Robinson On a recent writers' retreat, our group stopped on our way to Drummond Island at Timberdoodle in Detour, MI, picked up this book on the shelf, recognized the author as the woman behind the counter who had greeted us warmly, took the book with us, and left it on the table the rest of the weekend. We picked it up, laughed at the captions on the pictures, read aloud from the pages, and I read it all today - so absorbed I forgot an appointment. What a find! A happy serendipity to discover in Jan's book the love of, and addiction to, reading that our writers share. If you love books, cannot be without a book on your desk or lap, get Jan's book to savor, share and keep.
