Not very flexible design Sep 15, 2011
By Jonathan It's a pretty thin book with a pretty thin repertoire of ideas. I expected instructions and examples for a time-limited hunt that would include the typical list of things to find, as well as things for the team members who weren't driving to accomplish, like composing a poem or song, or drawing an outline of a high-heeled shoe. Wasn't even looking for anything overly complicated, but this book wasn't it. This wasn't very helpful at all.

Great concept for team building Nov 16, 2007
By John H. Clinton Jr. Boondoggle goes beyond the traditional scavenger hunt. . . it's a great critical thinking, team building exercise for personal and/or corporate use.
Recently, we hosted a corporate party for sixteen high level executives. At the outset, all were somewhat suspicious of a "scavenger hunt." Splitting the individuals into four teams of four, we sent them on their way at 3 p.m. with an expected return time of 5 p.m.
Boondoggle certainly brought out their competitive nature as they all returned within ten minutes of one another. As the organizer, I was amazed at their level of energy and the comaradarie displayed.
It's been two months since the party was held and I'm still receiving positive comments.
The Boondoggle book is an absolute necessity. It gives you tips and suggestions for making the game a positive experience for everyone.

Limited scope, but to the point. Jul 04, 2007
By Tracy Hoffmann This very short book explains in detail how to hold a large-scale (town, mall, park) scavenger hunt. There really isn't much here that is new or different. If you need visual organizers and lots of hand-holding to put a scavenger hunt together, this book will be a favorite, but if you're looking for creative ways to put a new twist on a old game, this won't do it. Pretty pricey for the 25+ pages. Try this book instead:Treasure and Scavenger Hunts: How to Plan, Create, and Give Them! Witty, clever and lots of suggestions to make things a little more interesting.
