Brennan Cooper Review Aug 17, 2011
By Chris R. Vaccaro Brennan Cooper is an easy read with a nice pace and flow to keep you turning the page. Each chapter is broken down with a new story to keep you interested. The love scenes can seem a bit raunchy, but they're interesting enough to make you want to keep reading.
The inner psyche of Brennan Cooper can be related to anyone who is actively pursuing relationships. Things happen and you have to adjust and learn from previous experiences, which is what Brennan does until he finally realizes what he wants in life.
I agree it does end abruptly, but that's the point. Cooper got what he finally was searching for throughout the entire book.
Good read and highly recommended.

Very Appealing, clever and real. Nov 17, 2009
By Stephanie Zagalak What I find the most appealing about this book is the fact the characters are real. We can relate to most of the people in the book as ourselves or people we know as well as situations we have been in. Brennan is a clever, witty, 3 dimensional character trying to find his way in the world, and he feels like he could be that person that you see on your way to work, or your boss, or a friend. Nicholas Henning's characters are believable and plausible, not outrageous.
I am in agreement with A. Pritchard where the book seems to end a bit abruptly, however I feel the story is about the journey, not the destination, and to dwell on this too much would only take away from the story.
In regards to the author and his writing, Nicholas Henning has improved in leaps and bounds between this book and the more recent The American Dream: From Perth to Sacramento
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and wholeheartedly look forward to the next.

Did I blush...... Sep 22, 2009
By Bromley Kent When I read this book I new it was the author's first novel and my expectations were neutral. What surprised me was that at times I found myself blushing as the discriptions were vivid enough to take me totally into the story and live it along with the characters.
The author is now on my watch list and I'm looking forward to reading where Mr. Henning will take me next.

Well I read this book in one evening, easy to read and very TODAY and modern... !! The love scenes which were raunchy in parts, but I believe are still respectful to woman but do keep you turning... The story is something we all can relate to, that will be close to everyone's heart, it is about a series of relationships and life experiences. Certainly I could relate myself to parts of the character - as we have all set our sights on various goals in life, so if you are looking for a book that will capture your attention and keep you guessing from chapter to chapter - give this one a go its worth the read - very inspiring and we all need a dose of a book like that - I am waiting for the authors next books !
Brennan Cooper - the verdict Nov 22, 2008

It's not often that I am compelled to recommend things to those around me other than verbally, but as a long term AMAZON user I know how helpful customer review's of products can be. I read Brennan Cooper a chapter at a time, and each chapter in itself is like a little story. Interestingly, each chapter is a different girl in the life of Brennan Cooper. The writer's style really allow's you to be there, which as I found out reading on the train one morning, can be quite embarressing if you're reading one of the number of steamy intimate scenes throughout the book! The book continues to flow from chapter to chapter however unfortunately it end's a bit abruptly and I couldn't help but find myself wanting more at the end of the book. A great story we can all relate with growing up in Sydney with the trials and tribulations of work, family and relationships, well worth a read. I will certainly be reading more of Mr Henning's work as it is released.
