Great book for classroom use, or just for reading pleasure! Nov 07, 2009

Great book! A wonderful tale of Bubulcus and Ibis, two cattle egrets, making their way from Africa to the United States.
Kids, parents and teachers will find the story interesting and easy to read, with gorgeous color paintings by the author.
This book would be great for K-6 science classes, or as an inspiration piece for young writers and illustrators learning how to put their thoughts and theories into the written word. It could build into several weeks of cultural studies as the two birds make their way to various points around the globe, and even discuss their hopes for their newly found home when they arrive.
Incorporating themes of cooperation, leadership and courage in the face of the unknown, the story also inspires a great deal of "Yes, We Can" in the face of obstacles along the way.
