Burnt Offerings

Burnt Offerings, written by Gail Smith and Janet Hastings, is an inspired, self-help tool to ease burdens, promote self-awareness and positive growth. The authors were guided to write this book by spirit, and a sincere commitment to help others help themselves. They use the element of fire as the basis of this sacred ritual, because fire is a great purifier and a catalyst for change. The act of burning the written problem, along with a powerful affirmation or prayer will change the energy around the problem or solve it completely. Using the symbols and the spiritual vocabulary as guides, gives the user added clarity for growth and self-development, as well as charting their progression to see patterns and anomalies on their path. Burnt Offerings is an ancient concept for use in today's modern world. After using the ritual, many readers have experienced miracles such as financial assistance, emotional support, and a deeper understanding of life. Begin this sacred journey, change your life and ignite your soul.

4I've become an expert and yet a very jaded authority on "spiritual" self-help books and its people but...  Apr 13, 2007
By Jules Christen
I've become an expert and yet a very jaded authority on "spiritual" self-help books and its people. But I picked a winner this time.

I'm a truth seeker; I know there are so many mysteries and answers to the universe-yet to be discovered. So one day I closed my eyes picked this book "Burnt Offerings" randomly off a tall shelf from a book store and bought it a while back. At first I was hesitant because of the title.

But like most folks, I wrongfully judged it. It's not what's on the cover that counts, but what's deep inside the book that counts. You just have to be opened to it, have faith and be ready to get everything you need or want in life.

Finally, a simple-clear book on how to condition my mind/energy to focus and infuse the universe with my intent to draw in all my dreams and hopes. "Burnt offerings" gave me the tools to help draw in happiness, weight loss, unconditional love, good fortune and prosperity. Some people say magic, others miracles, tomato/tomoto the words have changed through time, but rituals to transform negative to positive are always the same.

Through this book I overcame allot of my self sabotaging ways and helped me over come the big bumps in my life. Then when Gail Smith and Janet Hastings new companion book "The Best Journeys have no Destinations" came out, I bought it and understood how both books go hand in hand.

"The Best Journeys have no Destinations" is a cross between Di Vinci code, Celestine prophecy, a Road less traveled, Chicken soup for the soul, all wrapped up in one fantastic journey right in your own home.

5Burnt Offerings - I'm a believer  Apr 16, 2007
By J. Zenone
In 2001, I was unemployed, like most of the country following 9/11's devastation. I was out of work for a few months and money was running low when I went to hear two authors discussing their book, Burnt Offerings at a local book shop in Redondo. I picked up my copy of the book and a Burnt Offerings kit and went home and read from cover to cover. I followed the book's instruction and did a ritual of burnt offering where I asked for help with money. The next week I got a check for $1,700 in the mail (reimbursement) and a job soon followed. I'm a firm believer in the power of belief.
