Calming, Inspiring and Marvelous Apr 22, 2008 This book's poems, prayers, photos and stories are a marvelous reminder to me of how much heart one can find anywhere along life's journey. From history-making architecture (like St. Paul's Cathedral in London) to things all too easily overlooked (like a squirrel outside one's window) this book is more than milestones. It is like grist for the mill that refreshes dreams, primer for the pump of imagination, a springboard from which one may dive anew into heart and hope (one's own or another's). Anyone who prays regularly or looks for soul in daily life will return to these pages again and again. Anyone who is called upon to pray among others will find in this book a path, indeed an invitation, to the heartful state of mind that enables soulful public prayer. I would even recommend it to anyone looking for a spark that can ignite a conversation about life, hope and faith. This book reminded me of the words of William Blake, "To see the world in a grain of sand, and to see heaven in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hands, and eternity in an hour."
Beautiful poetry as always! Apr 06, 2008 I have been enjoying Holly's poetry off and on for several years (whenever I have the chance!), and love it. It is a beautiful expression of Christian love, faith and hope. Holly speaks eloquently, straight from the heart. She says what I would like to say, but don't have the talent. She speaks my feelings and thoughts. The photographs add to the experience. Experience is the word for this book. Reading Holly's poetry and looking at her photographs (well matched with each verse) is truly an experience to be savored ----- and one I could afford! =).
