I praise the Author... Apr 05, 2008 Can You Praise Me Now really hit home for me as I know and adore the author, Barbara Harvey. You see, her beautiful son Terrence passed away 4 days after my wedding. I was on my honeymoon. When I returned to work excited and ready to talk about all the fun of the past 2 weeks, I was faced with the devastating news that this woman had just lost her son.
I remember feeling guilty that I wasn't there for her, I felt guilty for being happy and having fun, I felt guilty for having a box full of pictures with me and hid them so no one could see what I had done.
I didn't know what to say to her. What could someone say but, "I'm sorry". I remember praying and praying and praying some more for her. What a horrible thing to happen to such wonderful people.
But I have to say that what is most inspiring about Barbara is how she handled herself. She had her bad days-how could she not... but she really set her mind on healing herself. She was inspirational. She started working out- OMG- she looked fantastic... she got a new job- Very smart move!... She wrote this incredible book that made me laugh, cry, smile, and she introduced her family to us in this book, in a way that was simple, yet true to who she really is. Just a wonderful loving lady.
I am so proud of her and all she put into this book. I continue to pray for her and her family and her friends that I am honored to know... Especially Lennis!
If you have lost a child or know someone who has- this is truly a great book to share. While it may not be your story, you will know that you are not alone and God and Jesus are still there for you.

A MUST READ!!!!! A+ Mar 11, 2008 A Great Inspirational Book! A Must Have! There was a lot of "balance" and understanding (or believing to understand) one of the GREATEST loss- losing a child, mixed with a lot of laughter and happiness from memories and SOOOOOO much "FAITH". Short book, less than 100 pages, can easily read in less than 1 week (read it in 2 days- couldn't put it down once I started), very easy to read.. wanted to know more in the end. Makes you wish it WAS a novel with 300+ pages. I am glad I purchased it.
