solid book Mar 07, 2008 This is another good one from anthony barbera. Norton is just a regular kid that likes to play ball but has some tough family issues. The role percy hawkins plays on helping norton out is awesome. It is another one of those books that keeps the reader turning page after page... Highly recommended.
Genuine Heart Feb 23, 2008 I have to say, as well as the previous reviewer, I was very excited to pick up this authors second novel after "experiencing" his first one. While vastly different, and more family-oriented, the newset novel from Anthony Barbera picks up the same realness and emotion-awakening aspects as his first novel does. While not quite as action-packed, "Cathching Baby Moses" carries the same grit as "The First Rains of October," yet the difference in characters and setting makes it a completely different experience entirely. This authors ability to relay the realness of individuals humanity is a unique talent difficult to find in authors these days. His newest book is definately an uplifting and positive experience when it's all said and done, and it leaves you with a keen sense of hope that good people really do end exsist, and some how, are rewarded for the genuine hearts.
A fantastic follow up piece of work! Feb 16, 2008 After reading Anthony's first book, First Rains of October, I could not wait to read his newest one. As a female I had a bit of hesitation because the book is more geared towards men, however my hesitations were quickly diminished. I am equally excited about Anthony's second work as I was about his first. His descriptive writing combined with such an original story kept me turning page after page! I would recommend this book to anyone.
A Novel for Fathers and Sons Feb 15, 2008 Catching Baby Moses is the story of a twelve-year-old boy named Norton left to fend for himself, and the NFL star that rescues him--but pays a costly price for his kindness. My first novel attempts to dramatically delve into the inspiring impact an adult can have upon a child.
It's also a reminder to fathers: that their impact upon a child will be felt for a lifetime. I hope that you enjoy it.
Anthony Barbera
