5management change from the perspective of "a new world"  May 18, 2006
By Nancy Anderson "Nancy Anderson"
Nancy Anderson Human Resources OD Consultant

I found this book to be extremely helpful in looking at change management from the perspective of "a new world, post 9/11". The book is easy to read, follow and apply. I especially liked the combination of data, facts and tables mixed in with real people reflecting on how 9/11 changed their work lives.

I do hope that in the future Dr Webber revisits these statistics and people to see what , if anything, has changed.

5A Valuable and Unique Contribution  Jan 16, 2006
By Hollis N. Wagenstein
This is a well-researched and well-documented book that supports an almost startling conclusion: that people welcome change and want to embrace it, if only management would stop selling and start engaging them. Among the most valuable components are Dr. Pat's suggestions on how to read it and use it, based on your intentions and your proclivity for statistical detail. It also captures the vibe and mood in our country today and links it to business in a unique way. This is a worthwhile contribution to all contemporary business libraries today.

5Insightful, Enjoyable to Read  Mar 11, 2006
By Travis D. Mcelyea
This book is a must read for HR managers who want to add value at the decision making table. While it is basically a research report, it is written in such a way that the reader not only enjoys the journey but also learns so much more than what can be concluded from only the research. It will change your mind about some long-held beliefs regarding change and employee resistance.

5Great Practical Book on Change  Jan 22, 2006
By Betty Broder
The summaries explaining what is really going on in the workplace were a wonderful help for those of us who don't have time to read the current literature. As a consultant dealing with complex challenges, I found the do's and don't easy to read and very practical and helpful--and, really made the book worth buying. I recommend it to all those struggling with understanding workers and management today and how to accomplish needed change.
