Charm Kids

Angela Marie Hutchinson developed the idea of her first picture book, Charm Kids, several years ago. While she worked as an academic director for a national computer camp and as a former girl scout leader, she was often asked the question by campers, “Why are we here, on earth?” Hutchinson created Charm Kids as an answer to that purpose-driven life question. Hutchinson earned her B.S.E. in Industrial Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Cross-Media Journalism certificate from USC. She has written several published articles and received an International Poet of Merit Award. Currently, Hutchinson is developing other passion projects and enjoys mentoring youth in her leisure time. She resides in Sherman Oaks, California with her husband Arthur.

5Charm Kids a discovery for parents and children  Jun 13, 2007
By T.C.
"Charm Kids" truly is a charming story. From the vivid color illustrations to the touching storyline, it is a great tool to encourage children to embrace many cultures with love and tolerance. The message especially touched me spiritually as the children struggled with temptation "the choice monster" and were challenged to cultivate the fruits of their spirit. I've started reading it to my infant and can't wait to see how it will challenge her to discover the true gifts she possesses.

5A heartfelt, yet fun lesson for kids everywhere!  Apr 17, 2007

I loved the message of finding yourself in this book, as well as the emphasis on diversity. The children are from all backgrounds and are encouraged to find their special gifts while being true to themselves. A fun read for the whole family with great lessons!

5Uplifting, Inspirational, Excellent Children's Story  Apr 02, 2007
By Martha Twain "Martha"
Wow! This book was so simple yet so deep! Each of the kids in the story found some important, personal answer to the question "why are we here on earth?" My kids were entertained and captivated by the pictures and at first didn't realize the depth of the message because they were so into the beautiful pictures and the overall fun storyline. After reading the book we had a nice discussion about what they believed was their purpose here on earth and it brought out feelings and ideas and creativity that I didn't even know my kids had. Excellent book.

The kids and I were enthralled while reading this intelligently written story. A fun read with milk and cookies.
