This anthology is a selection of key documents, writings and other works about democracy from its origins with Greek political thought through American classics as the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.'s 'I Have A Dream' civil rights speech. Others included are Aristotle, Locke, Montesquieu, Paine, Jefferson and Washington up to Clinton's first address to the United Nations in the post-Cold War era.
