Chasing The Gator

A hilarious story about a golf course, those that run it, play it, and inhabit it. These characters will resonate with every golfer as frustration and fun intermingle. Chasing the Gator, chronicles the events of one summer at White Lake Golf Course with one golf pro chasing women, one running from the woman he has, and a staff of retirees who are more interested in free golf than working. There's an eccentric range ball picker, colorful customers and of course the resident alligator. Whether it's paratroopers invading, a golf shoe heist, a fist fight over slow play, speed golfing women, international tourists, or aggressive deer; there is never a dull moment at White Lake Golf Course. A series of mad-capped night golf and gambling events keep the fun going after the sun goes down. However, an investigation into a corrupt county official's water bottle scheme brings an unwelcome spotlight to some less than authorized activities.

5A sure to be block buster  Oct 06, 2009
By D. L. Zeller "bookworm"
This book is well written and just draws you into the story. I had to fight my 16 year old daughter for the book. Everytime I went to go read the book it was missing because she had stolen it back to read. The author has a way with detail that gives you a visual that can not go wrong. This book covers the emotions, cheering when the good guys win, laughing when your sure they have lost their minds, and seeing yourselve right there on the first tee when the morning starts. This book is writen so well that I can't help but wonder when the movie will be made? What happens next, and what a great idea for a TV series. The author is gifted, this is not your everyday golf book. Look out Tin Cup, Chasing The Gator will soon be hot on your golf shoes.

5A very fun read  Sep 30, 2009
By Shivas Murphy "Shivas"
This is a funny book. I swear some of these characters hang out at my local municipal course. This would be a great gift for any golfers you know who have a sense of humor. It may not help your game but you will find yourself laughing out on the course as you recall situations from Chasing the Gator.

5Funniest Golf Book!  Sep 20, 2009
By Bogie Buster 66
This has to be the funniest golf book I have read. It's like a modern day Caddy Shack meets tin-cup without the hokey stuff... It just shows, truth is stranger than fiction.

5A fun read  Jan 04, 2010
By Golfing Engineer
This book takes a fresh and entertaining view the "happenings" that occur at local public golf coures.
We who play these coures will recognise the zany characters that appear page after page. Those who don't visit public courses can enjoy this book without the hassel of making tee times.

A Fun Read Highly Recommended

1Beware self-published works  Feb 28, 2011

What a pathetic attempt at literature! I hope that none of the other four reviews came from a book that was purchased (mine was a gift). Then again, those reviews most likely came from the author under pseudo pen names.
